Designed to take hotel automation to the next level, Nucleus runs on powerful microprocessor architecture integrated with a flexible modular hardware configuration.
Nucleus integrates with the room’s smart devices. It is fully programmable, including I/O, scenarios, keypad features, and more. Nucleus can be expanded to control additional room fixtures, including the latest voice control solutions, dimmers, DALI lights, and more by communicating with an integration server. Through the integration server, VDA’s Nucleus easily integrates with other systems in the hotel, such as PMS, BMS, door locks and more.
With its powerful integrated processor, the flexible Nucleus controller can process large amounts of data which is forwarded to the Etheos platform.

The Nucleus controller is equipped with four independent Modbus ports to manage up to 80 smart devices with no data latency. This increases the number of devices managed by a single unit, beneficial in large areas such as hotel suites and condo units. Nucleus is fully compatible with the entire catalog of VDA intelligent devices based on the Modbus protocol.
Nucleus takes advantage of relays that are appropriately sized for light control. This is an advantage because it avoids additional wiring costs deriving from bulky auxiliary power contacts. Additionally, this increases reliability and durability over time.
A built-in USB port is designed for easy programming and quick maintenance operations. It offers secure access to the controller’s “brain” to configure the device with the dedicated mobile app. Hotel maintenance workers can also use the mobile app to perform maintenance operations quickly, keeping guest room maintenance times to a minimum.
The cloud-based GRMS platform enables facility monitoring from anywhere, within or outside the hotel, using any device capable of launching an Internet browser.
